From a small organic jaggery unit in Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh to a globally certified natural food export company — here's how we grew.
Started as a small organic sugarcane jaggery processing unit in Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh — sourcing directly from local certified sugarcane farmers with a focus on 100% chemical-free, traditionally processed jaggery.
Developed our foundational range of organic sugarcane jaggery products — Sugarcane Jaggery Powder, Round Jaggery, Cube Jaggery, and Block Jaggery — standardising the production process for consistent export-grade quality.
Obtained the Central FSSAI manufacturing and export licence from the Government of Uttar Pradesh — a mandatory milestone that validated our food safety processes and enabled commercial food exports from India.
Registered with the Agricultural and Processed Food Products Export Development Authority (APEDA), Government of India — unlocking access to international agri-food markets and export incentive schemes for our organic product range.
All our organic products received Halal certification — opening exports to Middle East, South-East Asian, and other Muslim-majority markets. Organic Sugarcane Jaggery, Round Jaggery, Cube Jaggery, Block Jaggery, Muscovado Sugar, and Desi Khand are all fully Halal certified.
Achieved ISO 22000:2018 Food Safety Management System certification — the gold standard in international food safety. This certification covers our entire production chain from raw sugarcane sourcing to final export packing, ensuring hazard-free, traceable, and consistent organic products for global buyers.
Expanded our certified organic product range to include Organic Muscovado Sugar and Organic Desi Khand — two premium unrefined sweeteners meeting rising global demand for natural, minimally processed alternatives to refined white sugar in the health food and specialty food segments.
Today Aarga International exports six certified organic products — Sugarcane Jaggery, Round Jaggery, Cube Jaggery, Block Jaggery, Muscovado Sugar, and Desi Khand — to 40+ countries worldwide, backed by ISO 22000, FSSAI, APEDA, and Halal certifications, with a dedicated facility.
